What needs to be done?

Homepage       About me    Contact me   Privacy policy

Research into India’s genetics has not been given much importance and is still in its infancy. Much of it is authored by foreign authors and conducted from outside India. This must change. India must take ownership of the research into its past, the same way China has done for itself. In order to achieve this, India must do the following.
First, India needs to develop world-class genetics research groups and establish state-of-the-art genetic testing laboratories. At present, Indian researchers have to send genetic material abroad for testing.
Second, the DNA of skeletons found in Sindhu-Sarasvati civilization sites such as Rakhigarhi must be analyzed in order to determine their ancestry and genetics. If the R1a1a haplogroup is detected in these skeletons, it will end the debate over the civilization’s origins and language, once and for all.
DNA from four such skeletons was extracted in 2015 and the material was sent to South Korea for DNA testing. The results were expected to be published in 2016, but have not yet seen the light of day. Research such as this must be prioritized and fast-tracked.
Third, the well-known technique of forensic facial reconstruction should be employed to recreate the faces of individuals whose skeletons have been found in various Sindhu-Sarasvati civilization sites, so that we may learn what our ancestors looked like. Many of these skeletons are kept in various museums throughout the country. Forensic facial reconstruction is a routine, straightforward and inexpensive technique which has existed for decades, and which was recently employed to reconstruct the face of Richard III of England. It is inexplicable that the ASI has not done this yet.
Fourth, Indian textbooks must be modernized. They must be expunged of the blatant leftist slant that has plagued them for decades. History textbooks especially need to be decontaminated. Education must be based upon hard facts and scientific evidence; it must not be allowed to be used as a political tool.
Finally, the leftist choke-hold on Indian academia must end. The leftist clique has succeeded in propagandizing generations of otherwise intelligent Indians, conditioning them to unquestioningly buy into their fringe narrative. Its institutionalized sophistry has indoctrinated countless students into supporting Pakistan’s stand on Kashmir and China’s stand on Tibet and Arunachal Pradesh, championing separatist and anarchist movements, and questioning India’s right to exist as a nation.
Education and academia must deal in knowledge, not narratives. Knowledge must remain pure, it must not be allowed to be influenced by ideology and politics.

It is clear that there is layer upon layer of archaeological, literary, linguistic, and, most importantly, genetic evidence that forms a consistent, repeated, and predictable pattern that debunks the Aryan Invasion Theory and supports the Indigenous Aryans Theory. These layers of evidence, taken together, paint a vast canvas and prove that:
  1. The Indo-Aryan people and languages originated in the Indian subcontinent.
  1. The Vedic civilization and the Indus valley civilization (Sindhu-Sarasvati civilization) are one and the same.
  1. The Rig Veda was composed closer to c. 5,000 BCE when the river Sarasvati was last in its prime, than to c. 1,500 BCE when it dried out. This makes the Rig Veda a strong candidate for being the world’s oldest known literature.
  1. Rather than being a religion of invaders, Hinduism is indigenous to India and has its origins in the very beginning of the Sindhu-Sarasvati civilization.
  1. North Indians and South Indians are genetically and culturally alike. The Aryan-Dravidian divide is a myth; it has no basis in fact. The ‘high caste’-‘low caste’ divide also has no basis in fact.
  1. Indian civilization is a continuous, unbroken tradition that dates back to the very beginning of the Sindhu-Sarasvati civilization, at least 9,500 years before present. This makes India not only the world’s oldest civilization, older than Mesopotamia and Egypt, but also the world’s oldest continuously existing civilization. This makes India the true Cradle of Civilization.
  1. Indo-Aryans carrying R1a1a lineages expanded westward thousands of years ago, conquering and populating territories as far west as Europe. They were the most successful conquerors in human history. Their descendants are the Slavs (Russians, Ukrainians, Czechs, Poles, Slovaks, Serbs, Croats, Macedonians, etc.), the Scandinavians, and many others.
In other words, the new evidence comprehensively debunks the 19th century’s colonial Aryan Invasion Theory and its late 20th century refinement, the Indo-Aryan Migration theory.

Is Tamil Nadu becoming a Nazi Germany?

Homepage       About me    Contact me   Privacy policy

Whenever we hear the word 'Nazi', it reminds us of The Holocaust. It reminds us how a wrong propaganda was used to target a minority.
Contrary to what many people believe that it was Hitler's hatred for Jews which led to holocaust, I believe that it was Hitler's hunger for power which led to holocaust.
Targeting a successful minority group is a widely used tactic used by world leaders from time immemorial to rise through ranks and become a messiah of the ‘so called oppressed’.
Hitler used the same propanganda. He utilised his remarkable speaking skills to turn the defeated and impoverished Germans against the Jews. Jews were a small but a prominent group among his opposing parties which included Bolsheviks, socialists, social democrats. He blamed them for the German defeat in World War I and thus used the Jewish blood to etch his name in history. The other explanation of ‘a superior race’ was just a superficial move to enhance the hatred and division.
Tamilnadu is facing a similar scenario on a smaller scale. Let me first give you the background of the whole story about some people who are using 'hate politics' to gain power.
Periyar Ramasamy
(Disclaimer: Periyar was a great personality who brought several social reforms but I believe that his principles were wrongly utilised to justify hatred against a whole community in South India.)
Born in a wealthy Indian family, Periyar faced discrimination from some Brahmins when he visited Kashi temple. To vent out his anger, he started criticizing the entire Brahmin community for the exploitation of people (like Hitler targeted Jews). He preached that the Brahmins had monopolised and cheated other communities for decades and deprived them of self-respect.
His followers (DMK party like Nazi party) started advocating the thesis that the Tamil language was much richer than Sanskrit and Hindi and hence started targeting the Brahmins in the name of Sanskrit (like Hitler preached superiority of Aryans). Periyar also stated that if words of North Indian origin (Sanskrit) are removed from Telugu, Kannada, and Malayalam, only Tamil will be left.
What he did not preach about the community that constitutes just 5% of India’s population:
  1. There is no SINGLE Brahmin god in Hinduism! All gods are from backward castes, dalits and tribals. Brahmins never created the concept of Gods in Hinduism.
  2. Vedic literature was mostly written by non-Brahmins! The Manusmriti which was used to criticize Brahmins was written by Manu, a non-Brahmin. Ramayana was writen by a tribal Valmiki and Mahabharata was written by Vyasa who was born to a fisherwoman.
  3. Historical evidences show that poor hapless Brahmins were beheaded by Arabian invaders, crucified in Goa by the Portuguese Inquisition, vilified by British missionaries, and morally crucified today by their own brothers and sisters. Then how can one claim that just a particular community faced oppression?
What was the result?
The anti-Brahmin theory was planned and successfully planted by hostile invaders, colonialist and missionaries of conversion and by politicians to keep the public blind and at the same time gain power. The same tactic was employed by Hilter to gain power - ‘Create Hate and Rule’.
Like in many other revolutions, if anger and aggression had evolved organically, it should have been the wealthy landowning / ruling castes  on the receiving end of all this anger. But in the case of Tamil Nadu, this movement had a political agenda whereby they just chose Brahmins as the punching bag. They were easy targets because they were economically weakest relative to other forward castes, literally owned no land (except may be delta region), but still were the most visible, since many of them worked as civil servants in the British era. The result is that Brahmin population is a shrinking demographic in Tamil Nadu, and will be extinct soon.
The more depressing fact is that even the educated masses are attracted by this movement. Still there is a hope that people will realize their folly and move above the caste barriers.

Did crown rule benefit India ?

Homepage      About me       Contact me        Privacy policy

I have heard people say that Britishers were the one who made India. How true is this claim?

*I have nothing against the present Britain or British people because most of the horrors happened when none of the present Brits were born. 3 generations have come since the time of Indian independence. I know that most of the present day Britishers are sympathetic to India's struggle.*

Everyone today knows about **Charles Dickens**, the greatest Victorian era English novelist. His works include ‘Oliver Twist’, ‘A Christmas Carol’, ‘A Tale of Two Cities’, ‘David Copperfield’, ‘Great Expectations’ etc. However ignored in the celebrations will be the reality that Charles Dickens, like many of his British contemporaries, was a genocidal racist.
“I, The Inimitable, holding this office of mine, and firmly believing that I hold it by the permission of Heaven and not by the appointment of Satan, have the honor to inform you Hindoo gentry that it is my intention, with all possible avoidance of unnecessary cruelty and with all merciful swiftness of execution, to exterminate the Race from the face of the earth.”

Celebrated Britishers like this guy openly gave such statements. So, how could you expect any help from them ? All the advantages of the colonial rule like civil services exam, railways, etc. that some people state were started just for administrative convenience of the colony so that they could solidify their administration and drain India’s wealth from the mainland to the ports. The country which once contributed 26% of wold GDP contributed a mere 2% after their departure.

The countrymen who once used to be proud of their culture and heritage were made to accept the racial supremacy of their western counterparts. Even today this inferiority complex exists among many Indians.

Britain pulled India's men into wars that had nothing to do with India. Over 1.3 million men served in the World War I and over 2 million served in World War II (with over 87000 men died in it).
(Read India in world wars )

Finally people who say that India would never come into picture if there was no British rule must know that when British left India, India still had 500+ states and the present day India came into picture because of the ‘**Iron man of India**’.

Is there a moral need for Britain to commemorate Indian soldiers of World Wars?

Homepage           About me             Contact me               Privacy policy

Brits commemorated the animals who lost their lives in world wars by building a memorial ' Animals in War Memorial ' in London. But it seems that they have forgotten the contribution of Indian soldiers who were made to fight for their colonisers. This post seeks to generate awareness among people about the Indian contribution in the allied victory.

In fact, every sixth soldier fighting for the Brits was from the Indian subcontinent. India contributed with more soldiers than Australia, Canada, New Zealand and South Africa combined.

53,486 Indian soldiers lost their lives, 64,350 were wounded and 3,762 went missing or were imprisoned. Nearly 9,000 died due to severe winters in France. Apart from men and material, India also contributed with 100 million pounds of wealth. Not just combatants, there were 43,737 men who worked in the Indian Labour Corps. Within weeks of the war being declared, India also supplied 70,000,000 rounds of small arms ammunition, 600,000 rifles, motors and machine guns.  The total value of India’s war contribution amounted to £ 80,000,000. That's about ₹ 7,420,800,000 in today's money. British continued to drain Indian money and manpower which resulted in death of 3 million Indians due to famines. This fact was never highlighted. The army was forgotten.

The Britain along with some other major powers who overlook India as a third world country have forgotten the Indian contribution in their prosperity. The India which once contributed 26% of world GDP before the arrival of British was exploited so much that after their departure India could contribute just 4% of world GDP.

So, I think it's a moral responsibility of Britain to commemorate the Indian soldiers who fought for them in world wars.

Why isn't Jammu and Kashmir not known as Jammu, Kashmir, and Ladakh, as it is comprised of these three regions?

Homepage       About me  Contact me   Privacy policy

A general question if you ever read about Kashmir.
First of all, let me present you some figures:
Ladakh:
Area: 86,904 km²
Population: 2,74,289 (2011)
Jammu:
Area: 26,293 km²
Population: 53,50,811(2011)
Kashmir Valley:
Area: 15,948 km²
Population: 69,07,622(2011)
So, you can see that Ladakh is a very sparsely populated region which is mostly unaffected the ‘Kashmir Tension’. Though, Ladakh belongs to Jammu and Kashmir State, it has a culture different from Kashmir and resembles more to Tibet. This region did not get any significant political importance because it is a region inhabited by a small peaceful community which did not create any political tension.
Hence the state is still called as Jammu and Kashmir.

Is it the right decision to spend 3000 crores on Statue of Unity?

Homepage     About me       Contact me       Privacy policy

Prime minister Narendra Modi (then the Chief Minister of Gujarat) had announced the plan for the construction of the world's tallest statue on 7 Oct 2010. 'The statue of Unity' that it has been named has faced serious opposition from critics and opposing parties on various social platforms. This page seeks to discuss some facts on these issues.

Who is the true father of India?

The Britishers came into India as traders, became our rulers, looted us for 200 years with all enthusiasm and sowed seeds of discontent and struggle that we are forced to live with till date. The central pillar of their rule over such a huge land with massive diversity was simple - break the Indian unity.
They believed that once they left India, India would simply balkanise into a number of small states due to lack of a central leadership. The rulers had no idea that a man whose vision was broader than Bismarck and skills sharper than Robert Clive and Warren Hastings combined, was waiting in the queue.
Many people including many Indians themselves believe that India would never had come into picture if there was no colonial rule. However the facts state otherwise. When the British left India, India still had about 565 princely states. Think of our country as a jigsaw puzzle of 500+ pieces. Some pieces are small, some are enormous, some immaterial, some vital, and while some are easy to fix some are intricate and hard to fit in place. Now, the thing about jigsaw puzzles is even if you finish almost all the piece it is still incomplete. The true picture only emerges if you get all the pieces right. The complexity of the situation and immensity of the task of unification could have driven anyone crazy.
Sardar Patel applied open talk, diplomacy, force, military power, and ultimately enabled the accession of almost every princely state. The hollow threats of most Nawabs and Kings were laid bare as Sardar quelled whatever little opposition arose.
He was the Iron Man of India who gave us the nation we know today. So, don't you think that he was the true father of India.
Many people today know about Bismarck who was a great politician and the unifier of the German nation state. However it's a pitiful fact that very few people outside India are aware about this great personality who united a state which was about 10 times bigger than Germany. The reason is that we never gave him the respect that he deserved. We bestowed him with Bharat Ratna (the highest civilian award of India) in 1991 much after his death while Nehru and Indira Gandhi were awarded this respect even when they were alive.
We need something to show our respect and reverence to this great underrated legend.

Economic benefits:

Till now we talked about political reasons and moral duties. Now, let's talk about the controversy.
First let me tell you some facts:
Do You know that statue of unity is funded by Gujarat government and not central government ?
The iron needed for the statue and other structures was to be collected from farmers of villages all around India in a form of donation of their used farming instruments. The drive was named the 'Statue of Unity movement'. During this 3 month long period, over 5000 metric tonnes of iron were collected. Can you see the love and respect that Gujaratis have for our beloved leader?

People raise many questions like why are wasting such huge sums of money? If you wish to view this from economic point of view. This seems to be a good investment. It is not a ordinary statue, it is going to be the world's tallest statue. It will bolster Gujarat tourism manifoldly. Let me present you the example of Statue of Liberty. Every year, it receives approximately 4.5 million visitors. Statue of Unity will be 2.5 times as tall as Statue of Liberty. So, don't you think that it has the potential to attract this many visitors?

If times are depressing and daunting, Sardar Patel reminds us of India's and Indians' potential. When times are good, we can think of him with glad gratitude !

So, yes I feel that it's the right thing to do.
